ok tranny wizards i have a SOHC ZC motor and tranny i need a new clutch presure plate throw out, the whole nine yards. tranny says S20 on it i know its simular to D series but this looks different than some trannys ive seen. can anyone tell me which USDM tranny/ motor that the trannys are the same?

 

Every USDM D series transmission for 92-95s I've laid eyes on has the S20 stamp. The only way I know to differentiate them is on the side cover, there is an additional code cast into the housing near the filler hole. B000 is the EX/Si transmission. I think A000 is the 'rest'.

I'm sure 'Bone will correct me if I'm wrong.

 

i didnt know what the S20 sticker was this is the first tranny that was clean enough to see lol let me go see what the numbers are

 

its stamped P20 over A000 so the "other" trannys. i guess so all A000 stamped trannys will bolt up?
