Default hi flow cat

Correct me if im wrong but, as most of you may know, the hytech replica header eliminates the cat forcing you to have an exstension piece weld on so it can be extended to the piping. Another route to go in buy a hi flow cat, and just have them shorten the b pipe.

Well, im trying to get the most power as possible so which way should i go. TIA

Car is a 95 hb si with 98 itr swap.

The "power" differences are minimal at best (2-3hp...maybe?)...what you WILL notice are 2 things.

1)Noise.....it will be louder and raspier.
2)Fumes.....bad for the enviroment, and exhaust fumes don't smell too good.

I got a hi-flow cat to eliminate my test pipe and it got rid of the excessive noise and fumes. And it sounds a hell of a lot better IMO.

sure the environment will suffer, but summit has something that is compossed of 3 rings that fits into your down pipe.

It mixes the warm air with the cooler air, and resonates the pulses.

Sorry im at work and too lazy to look it up right now. But if you cant have a cat, then this would be your next option, adn have researched it- and it seems to work well.

car chemistry exhaust insert.

And no, on a 1.6 i doubt this would hurt exhaust velocity

For about the same amount of money you could get a high-flow cat and be 100% legal.

And I'm just correcting you here, it'd be on a 1.8L
