2000 civic ex coupe=my car


I want to replace a motor where I am with in the California regulations. So my question is can i swapped in a USDM gsr motor and it will be in regulation? How about USDM civic Si motor? What are step to swap engine motor the legit way, meaning choosing the right technician and doing the right paper work? Also how much does this type of engine swap cost?

 

go to dmv and ask them. they should be able to let you know the informations you need. good luck.

Yes and yes, know two people with those motors legally. As for the steps, seach the net and the DMV website, I'm sure you'll find them.

 

i have a question that i really need help on...
i have a 1999 civic ex and i am planning to swap in a 2000 ls motor soon. my question is, would a 2000 ls ecu run in my car because i heard there was some kind of security key mobilizer that disables my car from starting with the 2000 ls ecu??? is that true?? do i have to use some sort of jumper harness?

please help me out guys!
