hey everyone, well im about to pick up a motor tommor. And the man i spoke to told me its a B16A that came out of a 88 integra. But from the picture, it looks like a LS motor. But than again it might be a B16 with a LS Head. What do you guys think? Thanks, btw this is the only size picture i can get. And when i go to take a look at the motor tommor, what should i be reading or looking at on the head to know that its a b16 or ls head?

theres no need to search on the head. i can tell it's a ls motor. as far as i know, you cannot put a non vtec valve cover on a vtec head.

 

looks like a d16a dual cam d series...they came in older integras

 

Thanks for the info on that one, but is it possible for a b16 block to mate on a b18 head though? Because when i go take a look at the motor, im thinking i might see a stamped b16 block with a ls head lol. I just dont want the old man to screw me over lol. Because its a old man, selling it for his son that use to be in the honda game.

i'm guessing so. i mean you can take a ls block and mate it w/ a b16 head. i wouldn't even waste my name looking at the motor. either he doesn't know what he's talking about or teying to scam you.

But if you anyone else has anymore ideas what motor it might be, feel free to tell me lol.. It couldnt be the ZC motor can it?

 

If its a D16A1 motor, how much are you guys willing to pay for one of these?

Too bad the old man wants $100 bucks just for the motor, and only has 89,000 miles supposedly he said.

its not a ZC nor a b16 its a D16A1 with only 118hp found in 88-89 tegs. i wouldnt buy it.

If he only wants 100 for it, i would buy and part it out. It looks like its been sitting out in the weather for a while.
