Starting problems
I have a 97 accord all stock with 4banger automatic. The problem I have is trying to start it after a good hard rain or when its muggy outside. It cranks over and over but wont start. Its getting gas, cause you can smell it, and its getting fire to it, but I cant figure it out. Its almost like on the older cars with distrubtor caps, like its wet under there. It only happens when it rains or is muggy thats what is throwing me off. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have checked the wires, connections, and the coils and I see no visible problems or cracks or tears or anything of that nature on em.

How old are the plug wires, distrib rotor & cap and so on? It sounds as though something like that needs replacing. You can visually inspect them or, if you are more adventurous, run your hand down the wires while the engine is running to see if there are any "leaks". Taking a look while the engine is running at night (in the dark) will sometimes show an electrical glow/leak. Don't forget the plugs while you are at it.
