I just got some new mid ranges to put in my Prelude and in the rear I have run across an issue. The speaker is too deep and it hits the bars that hold the trunk up(don't know the technical name). Here's my options that I've thought about.
1. Return these for new speakers that will fit
or...
2. Make a spacer and space them up as much as needed and then wrap the rear deck with the same material I have wrapped my lower door panel pieces(a black leather that pretty much matches the oem black leather).
Any other ideas anyone?

I agree, you do not need rear speakers, if your running a sub it is better to have the holes in the rear deck anyway.
But that is assuming a lot, so I need more info, what does the rest of the system consist of?
Makes and models please.

Easiest way would be to get new speakers. But an MDF mounting ring/spacer in the rear should solve your problem as well. This should also give you a bit better SQ out of the rears.
