B16A into a Del sol
Hey everyone, i have a b16A that came out of a 88 integra. Now my question is, i bought the motor and was wondering since my car is a OBD1 and the motor is OBD0 what do i have to do to change it to become a OBD0? Can i still run the same ECU or do i have to get another ECU in order to let the motor run fine? What axels should i buy to make it work, and i already know that i need a VTEC shift linkage off of the VTEC del sols. And will any Bseries manual transmission bolt right up to the b16A motor? Any b series trannys will fit with any b series engine, on the OBD stuff im going to let someone else chime in if i cant find the webisite that i used.

so im guessing that b16 was swapped into the integra... well, ur better off running obd1 since its easier to use...i cant find the site but they sell jumper harnesses for situations like this...also, ur best bet is to go with hondata or run a chipped p28....this makes tuning much easier... thats the setup i have... basically all the bseries parts are interchangable...from axels, to trannies... just research a lil bit.... i know i wrote a lot but good luck...

please tell me that you already have/planning to buy a b-series hydro tranny....PLEASE!
if its cable youre going to get your **** pushed in....by your own swap nonetheless.
im pretty sure all you really need to do is get:
an obd1 alternator, obd1 injectors, obd1 dizzy, and use any vtec obd1 wiring harness to wire up that obd0 b16.
atleast thats how it was for me when i dropped an obd1 b16 into my obd2b 99 ex.
oh yeah, get yourself either a chipped or stock p28/p30 while youre at it.
im not sure about obd0 engine into obd1 car, but you most likely will need to splice a plug or two...iat sensor plug is coming to my mind but im not too confident about it.
