overheating problem???? new thermostat badd?????
ok i have a build b16 turbo with a tripple core aluminum half size radiator and recently ive noticed that its putting alot of the coolant into my overflow contaner also my upper rad. hose is hot and my bottom is cold so i thought.. great just a thermostat so i replaced the thermostat and put all fresh coolant in and let it idle for awhile and thought it was good...
while driving home lastnight i was getting onto the highway and i got on it 1-3 gear and i drive with my heat on all year around and when i let off i noticed that my heat turned cold.... and the temp guage started to skyrocket so i quickly pulled over and put more coolant in and went on.... so do i have a bad thermostat... or waterpump? stopped up rad.... anyone with any thoughts it will be appreciated.. thanks

Did the temp drop again after you added coolant? I bet you have air in your coolant system. You should try burping it.
what type of thermostat did you put in oem or autozone.... i had a similiar problem burb the system, and or mugen makes a high temp thermostat..
You need to bleed the coolant system for at least 5-8 minutes. Start with the car cold. I know it sucks but you need to watch for bubbles and refill. Do this until the rad overflows on its own with no air bubbles coming out. Keep it topped off to force air out!
works everytime

ok well i tried bleeding it for awhile today and not alot of bubbles came out while bleeding it i also took off my waterpump and everyting seemed fine there i think it is a blown headgasket while its runnin no bubbles come out but when i rev it at about 4k bubbles keep comin out and they wont stop i dont think there is that much air in the system? also its like its not flowing at all i bought a thermostat from advanced the kind if it messes up that it will stay open... seems not to work to well i guess...
