EG Retro-Fit. Single Xenon vs. Bi-Xenon HIDs
I was wanting to do a retro-fit on my eg hatch. I want to buy single aftermarket projector headlights but I was wondering if bi-xenon hids are harder or worse than single xenon projectors. I can buy dual aftermarket projector headlights and run just single xenon lights and have by regular halogen lights as my high beams but I was wondering what is the easiest scenario. Thanks.
not quite understanding what you're wanting to do. Are you wanting to do a retrofit using Bi-xenon projectors or just wanting to buy a cheap PnP kit and use them in your cheap ebay projector lights?
No I am wondering if it would be easy to retro-fit bi-xenon hid lights in an aftermarket projector headlights that have just the single filament opening in the housing or buy a dual filament housing projector headlight and use a single xenon hid light for my low beams and my halogen lights for my high beams. No plug and plays kits here.
single xenon would be easier... bi-xenons are nice, but are usually more difficult because they are bigger... BUT you can find smaller bi-xenons that'll work in a EG housing. i recommend going to HIDplanet.com forum and read up! the guys are on there are really knowledgeable!
btw, i did single xenon low, halogen high for my EG...
at times i wish i would've looked into doing a bi-xenon... and at other times, i wish i would've forked a few extra bills for s2k projectors.
HID FTW!

It would be much easier to work with a single projector over a bi-xenon projector. Bi-xenons are usually much bigger and would also need to be placed correctly so it would flick over to hi-beam.
I would go with a pair of Denji Headlights, they look nice and have room for low-beam. I found an ad in the FS page so you might want to look into these.

pgpunkguy Lol you should have saved a lil more cash for them S2k's. I have a pair and they are pretty nice. TSX's are great if you don't want to spend much.

true dat... i kinda jumped into doing the retrofit thinking a hid projector is a hid projector... wat a dumbass! anyway, it was my first retrofit so i can't complain.
i'm in the process of getting a 3 series beamer and am going a tl/zkw retrofit into it.
