Default Anyone else driving a EU8 Civic 2005?

This is my family "wagon", kinda like it! Looks like the EP3, but with 5 doors!

Might be looking into rebuilding it to a complete EP3 including everything! Would be cool to have a 5 door EP3!

Anyways...enjoy the pics!

Quit screwing around!
and get that door off of there and put it where it belongs...
On the OTHER SIDE!

actually, it looks ok
but IMHO it has the same problem with all civic 4-doors (like my ES1 Sedan) which is this...

The rear door is Very skinny, and when you open it, it only opens at max 60 - 70 degrees...
going to get in, you have problems hitting your knees, and feet... and anything else (that's BIG! LONG! or Wide!

-try putting a small child in a car seat- First in the 4 door, then an EP3...
with the 3 door, civics are actually easier to get things in and out of...

my woman and i find it easier to be able to pull the seat forward...
then climb inside it in the back- holding our son, and being able to get him into the seat with ease...
on the 4 door, it ends up being a lot of twisting and pushing him into the seat from the side...
i'll show pics of what i mean later if anyone cares, and can't picture this in their head.

MODIFIED, because i dont have a protractor!)

There is no way in the world that getting a child seat into the back of a 3-door EP3 is easier than getting one into a 4-door Civic.

On my RSX, with the child seat in the rear facing backwards, my wife is all the way up on the airbag. Not to mention that the seat will only go in at a certain angle. And it's not easy lifting a 15lb child + 15lb seat over a pushed-forward front seat.

On the 4-door, the rear door swings open and the seat and child go right in. The front seat is only pushed up marginally.

there you have it... EP3's are better than RSX's for people with kids.
LOL- just kidding!

i think that's because you have a rear facing child seat... and the RSX...
and it sounds like you were trying to get in thru the same side...
we found it was easier (when my son was rear facing age) putting it behind the driver side seat!
The ep3 has a higher roof, and we would open the passenger side door, pop up the seat... which gives you TONS of room...
we could then climb in standing, but bent over a little, and walk him to the other side... where it was waiting like a basket!

(did i mention we are midgets! )

LOL, j/k... i'm still not hip on the 4dr looks, but congrats on the purchase Jonas!
...i guess i'm "ANTI-Sleeper!"

There is really not that much difference in back seat room (or entry room) between the EP3 and the RSX. I've owned both.

Then say it opens 60 degrees. Not 120 degrees.

Loving that rear bumper!

Those wheels are the bomb! but it distracts from the "Great Clean SLEEPER Set-up!"
...too bad your doors don't open a full 120 degrees! LOL

but I am still giving it 5 STARS! Keep us updated when you throw a Super Charger into it!

i saw this on pizzahuts website... IS THIS an EU8???

In a way, I like the 5-door better than the Ep3 3-door. They both resemble minivans, though!

The rear end of the 5-door looks better than the rear of the 3-door.

It kinda looks like its a Merc A-series...doesnt it...with that rear end...

Yep, I would love for it to open 120 degrees...maybe if I rebuild to suicide-doors, that would work :-)
