Default check engine light goes on randomly.

as said.my check engine light will go on randomly while Im driving. sometimes it will go on a few times a day and sometimes it ont at all. the thing is when I turn the car off and go back to turn it on it stays off. any ideas guys.

Thats happened to me in the past. Pull your carpet on the passenger side and take a look at the ECU when the light is on. It will be blinking a code.

Best thing to do is to get the code...but chances are it's the O2 sensor, they most commonly come on/off

when it does it it throws a code 1 and 20.

I had previoulsy fixed the code 20 but the its back and idk why

yea I just read that In the faqs thanks though bro.. is there anyway to clean up an 02. i dont want to spend anymore money on this car and its getting me mad. is there a way to clean it. if not I think pick n pull here I come.

I don't think there is a way to clean the O2 sensor. But if it's a 1 wire O2, it's about $20-$45 new. But for the 4-wire O2 = Expensive $80+

and the reason why it goes off and dont come back on when you start the car agian is because its an OBD 0 or 1 ecu. it wont store codes after you turn off the car
