having problems after installing my itr tranny...help!

Default having problems after installing my itr tranny...help!

well i just put my itr lsd tranny on and when i drive it straight it will be ok,but when i turn either left or right i feel a clunking from the wheels as if something were loose and i hear a rubbing noise.both ny axles were good before i put my itr tranny on and ive checked all suspension/ball joints and it looks good....maybe a broken lsd???need some help!

It could be something internal, but i would check the obvious problems before tearing into anything. Most times an axle wasn't seated properly or something simple like that...i had problems after my clutch swap which turned out to be a CV axle that hadn't sat square and caused me some problems.

well they both seem to be sitting in all the way flush with the ends of the tranny....i picked up the tranny off su guy on h-t,he said it was in good condition..so im hoping its not the tranny

It sounds alot like the axles arent in all the way.

are you sure its a stock lsd? sounds like a clutch style lsd, they can make a ton of clunking noises its normal, sounds and feels like a messed up axle. mostly noticeable when going slow turning sharply, will almost pop and jerk. this is normal for a clutch type lsd. Make sure you have a stock lsd. If you do have a clutch lsd you will need special oil with friction modifier.

yea thats what i was thinking,that it was a clutch type lsd.....but the guy i bought the tranny from said it was a stock itr lsd..is there a way to tell??

HONDA MTF IS FINE BUT YOU NEED AN ADDITIVE THATS USED FOR THE PASSPORTS YOU CAN COP THAT AT NE AUTO PARTS STORE. GL!

theres diff brands just ask for lsd additive and make sure it says also for imports on the bottle gl1
