94 ex trunk open light keeps coming on.

94 ex trunk open light keeps coming on.
The car is a 94 civic ex coupe. When ever i open my drivers door it's the trunk open light that comes on in the cluster. What is causes that?

pull out the bulb in the cluster and it wont bother u anymore lol maybe something is wired up wrong idk we can look at it if u want i got a tester for the wires

The trunk open indicator light in the gauge assembly is connected to a green wire that runs to the trunk latch switch and trunk light (see picture). My guess is that opening the driver door somehow causes this green wire to short out. You might try looking for damage in this green wire in a harness possibly running beneath the carpet or trim below and left of the driver door.
