i jus gat a gsr swap and was told its a 96 but not so sure,the ecu is deff a obd2a but not sure the engine is how can i tell?

 

i am not sure how to tell the year of the block besides running the vin or the engine block number. i know for the head though it is stamped above where the header bolts up. it will say the year the last 2 digits xx99 for example near where it says the engine/head code

 

IT SAYS 9/4 DOES THAT MEAN ITS A 94 OR 95?

if it says 9/4 then it is a 94 but could have came from 95 model

 

look at the numbers in the little circles but im not sure if its the one all the way on the left or right.

 

if it says 94 its a 94 head atleast
