i have a stock r, what should I get and in what order to achieve a 1/4 mile time anywhere in the 12's? (excluding drag slicks)

 

Ehhh... Sell the ITR and buy something that does the quarter mile in 12 s. Problem solved....

definitely 12's but not on street tires...that's basically impossible

 

buy a Dodge Viper

 

or a z06 or a new cobra

 

you will never touch it without slicks. ask incognito though, he hit like 12.96, basic boltons, cams , tuned, milled head, slicks and susp work . . . . . he got quite a bit wrapped up in that car. . . its very impressive.
also sgt is ther too , but i think he;s stroked too. . . . basically like they said, bend over and get your credit cards ready.

A better clutch would help also... I`ve noticed the stock clutch slips a little bit when shifting at high runs

New motor hasnt really run yet.

My car is a heavy pig. So i rather not make assumptions at this point.
Would be nice though.

 

Doesn't take too too much to run 12's.
Cheapest way all motor is probably by cams, cam gears, valvetrain, head mill, clutch, slicks, header, intake, weight reduction. Don't need headwork, bottom end work or tranny modifications to crack 12's.

Are you saying that with my setup, I might be able to hit 12's with slicks? Or do I need the ditch the GSR tranny for something with shorter gearing like the JDM ITR 4.785 FD
