I've got my interior torn apart in hopes of fixing my sunroof... And I don't have a clue what I'm doing lol

My sunroof tilts up, as in the "vent" position... But it doesn't slide back. I tried all 3 positions of the switch thinking maybe a previous owner had crossed wires or something... When I press the tilt button, it tilts all the way and I hear the motor want to keep moving it. When I press the slide button I hear the same sound, but it doesn't move. Any ideas?
