Default catch can hose

OK, I just searched and read the 19 topics about catch cans. I just installed a setup on my car. I used 3/8 fuel hose. I am concerned if this is OK to use this type of hose because it looks like it is being sucked in when the engine vacuum is going through it. Any suggestions?

my catch can came with 15mm hose. kinda in between 9/16 and 5/8. just so you know comparison wise of what they are sold with. I think it would deal more with what hose you use. b/c mine is just plastic reinforced plumbing type hose.

I thought about using a power steering return hose because it seems a litle more rigid. Thanks for the reply man.

3/8" is fine as it's the same size as the PCV valve. Try use transmission cooling hose, because it's more sturdy and won't collapse under vacuum.

FWIW I've had my catch can hooked up with fuel line for 3-4 years and it hasn't been a problem...

I used Goss Fuel Hose ID 8mm, when i installed my catch can 2 months ago, i have had no probs at all, system is working fine . The external diameter of the hose is larger than the oem vacuum hose, so i used the crimp type clips which came with my catch can kit, and kept the oem ones for spares. If you are having hose collapse type issues perhaps buy another brand of fuel hose or use transmission type hose as was also suggested. Simple stuff really and hose is cheap. So just change the hose if you are concerned.

Hawkze are you using regular fuel line or fuel injection line?

I didn't know there was a difference It's just a line from the local Autozone:
