Stock ECU and 12sec all motor?
Is the STOCK ECU capable of running a 12sec all motor setup? Assuming that the fuel and timing are adjusted as best as possible(FPR, pressure gauges, a/f gauges) without the use of a dyno or stand alone management unit. I dont know if its a problem yet or not, but I plan to have my car back very soon, and hopefully I will be in the low 13's pretty easily, and even more hopefully in the high 12's, but I have no stand alone ECU or tuning system to run the setup....YET. My plan was to get the car back, have it running and functional, and then take the trip to the tuning shop to have the AEM EMS unit installed and let the tuning begin. However I was told that the stock ECU might not be able to run the setup after all the work is done. Any advice or comments are appreciated.
Definitely... although something else like Haltech or Hondata would be more flexible, I went 12.80 on a 100% stock Type-R head/cams etc in a heavy Civic Coupe. I think even 11's are within reach pretty easily if the cars light enough. I was only making 190whp.
ECU used at the time was a P28 reprogrammed with the "MUGEN" parameters.
