Prooe2 remote audiovox alarm reprogramming
I try to reprogram a remote for the alarm. The old one is almost broken.
My question is: Has anyone have any experience with this.
The alarm came with the car when I brought it.
I don't know much about it.
I try the instruction on it and Its no help.
Valet Switch/Bypass switch I don't know where its located? I looked at the brain and there is nothing connected to a switch or red button.
Can some one help me.
Thank you in advance.

The instructions should tell you how to properly install a new remote. Are you sure you followed them correctly? The Prooe2 is a remote, what model alarm do you have?
i dont know what kind model it is. all i know is the remote. I had a guy in Virginia do it for me once. I look pretty simple. But Now i moved to NC. I had to re order a remote and here I am. Looking for a way to program another remote.
The directions seem easy, but i can't find the valet/ by pass switch to activate the alarm programming.

If you've looked in the instructions, located the alarm brain, determined where the valet switch would plug in, and found that there is no switch plugged in, how the hell are we supposed to help you?
You need the valet switch to program.
No valet switch = No program.
Get a valet switch for your alarm, then program your new remote.

You've already said (in your first post) that there's no switch connected to the brain.

Let's try again here... Try to stay with me, okay?
Open your instruction manual to the place where it shows a pretty picture of all of the plugs/harnesses/wires that come out of or plug into the alarm brain.
Following so far?
Find the port that says valet switch or programming switch (they're usually the same).
Now, go out to your car, and crawl up under the dash and locate the alarm brain. Then, locate the plug that you found earlier in the instructions that says valet switch or programming switch.
Is there something plugged into it? Are there wires eminating from the brain in that spot? If not, then you do not have a switch installed.
If there are indeed wires coming out of the magic spot, then you'll need to follow the yellow brick road, or black wire trail in this case, all the way to the switch. When you find the switch, use it to program your remote.
Got it?

It would help if we had a model number of the alarm itself, Audiovox, Prestige and Pursuit over the years have used a number of diff. types of valet/program switch/buttons, without knowing the alarms model number I can't even guess what kind and where the valet/program switch is or what it will look like.
