Rear hub/bearing from Civic Si/Integra GSR
Hi all,
Just wondering: I know the disc brakes on the 92-95 Civic Si and the Integra GSR are the same size -- my question is: do they also share the same hub/bearing assembly?
I need to source a rear hub since my rear wheel bearing on my EG6 is making noise.
Does anyone have experience with this?
Thanks...

Come on guys?
I know many of you have experience with the hub assembly on Integras and Civics (from doing brake conversions etc.)
Are the hubs from Integras and Civics (Si at least?) the same? Honda won't help me since my car is JDM and they don't deal with it. Some help please? I just need to fix my screwy bearing; what do I look for at the scrap yard?

"should" be the same.
Ok excellent. I'm 99% sure the SiR brake package is identical to the Civic Si and Integras (although rear LCAs are not shared strangely).
When it comes to terminology about the hub, I'm a bit confused.
Spindle refers to which part? The part that the wheel touches when mounted right?
And the hub is within/behind the spindle? and within the hub is the bearing?
Thanks for the help

Ok I edited this image that someone posted.
Can someone who knows please tell me:
What on it is the spindle or the hub (where the bearing is housed)?
I just want to make sure I'm calling everything the right name.
both or your arrows are pointing to the rotor the hub assembly is behind the rotor, it is held onto the trailing arm with one large nut, remove the caliper and the caliper bracket, remove the 2 philips screws that hold the rotor on, un crimp the large bolt, remove... and the hub will slip off...

yes the bearing and hubs seem to be identical on all 4x100mm Civic/Integra/CRX cars...
the one thats different is ITR (type R) it has a shaft which is about 5mm longer then all the others

When ordering the new bearing from the dealer, they said there are 3 different bearing types so he had to show his ruined one so they could find a suitable replacement.
Anyway, thanks for the help fellas. You've cleared things up for me.
EDIT: ****, one more thing...
My workshop told me I can't change the bearing from a wrecked car since once you extract the used one, it all "falls apart" and you can't repack it. I can only replace it with a new one from Honda. HOWEVER, just want to confirm: if I want to get a used bearing, I can just replace the entire hub which contains the bearing right? (And can you guys confirm for me what the workshop said...?)
Thanks again...

Are there Autozone or Pepboys in Austrailia?
Rebuilt ones that are sold in these autopart stores are great. Keep your old parts for a core charge.
5th gen Civic and 95+ Integras have interchangeable suspension parts. Even the ITR have the same mounting points as Civics.
I don't know about not being able to pack the used ones. I've talked with a suspension engineer at work, he said a ball bearing on a typical car should last a lifetime of a vehicle these days.

Remove the brake locator screws. Behind the disc is a hub which has 4studs pressed onto it. The hub is pressed onto the wheel bearing.
Note: You cannot see the actual hub and bearing from that picture.

My car's worn bearing may be attributed to the previous owner who ran the car on compressed springs for looks.
Turns out my friend has a rear hub from a EG..... (woohoo)
It's from a car with drum brakes, but I don't think that matters since the hub is independent of the brakes correct?
(Just need some confirmation that I can use this hub on my disc-equipped car)

I don't know if it matters but I'm using my stock '99 drum hubs on my rear discs. The disc conversion I bought had hubs that were rusted to hell so I decided to use my stock ones. Only difference is that drum hubs don't have the threaded holes for the rotor retaining screws.
