I was wondering if have a stripped interior such as seats, carpeting, and panels is illegal in socal. I would like to know this because I don't want to get pulled over and harrased by cops. It would be horrible if he tells me to pop my hood, and he sees a frank motor. If he sees the motor would it get towed or what?

 

Yes you need seats to drive unless you plan on seating on carts. And NO its not illegal to strip your car out.

 

For the people that have their interior stripped, do you get hasseled by cops alot? If so how much?

 

I dont really think cops care. Doesnt hurt nothing. I think they would be more worried about how loud the car is.

 

Got pulled here in texas and the cop was all over the carbon fiber hood. Then he looked in the back and saw the stripped interior. He said if I had someone in the back they could give me a ticket. I know he wanted to give me a ticket(he said I didn't have my seat belt on when i did) but eventually he let me go . Waste of my damn time
