Humming noise when I let off the Clutch in Netural and speedometer goes up.
I have a 98 cx with a d16z6, I just replaced both cv axles upper control arms lower ball joints shocks and tie rod ends I just tried to drive it and when the car is in any gear or in netural and I release the clutch to the pressure point I hear a humm/buzz sound and it smells like burnt clutch and the car wont move, but the speedometer goes up even if the car is in netural? im confused and can't find anything about this. Help Please!
Those are the only things I could think of to cause this problem, but before i did the suspension work to my car it drove fine no clutch problems or anything. is it possible to destroy a throw bearing from pushing and pulling on cv axles?

i dont think i will be able to today, if it is low how do i fill it? i bought 3 qts of honda manual tranny fluid because i anticapted fludi leaking when i pulled a cv out but nothing leaked. and there is no real place to fill it is there? only the drain hole i think.
So you haven't added any tranny fluid after you changed the axles and drove around? Thats your problem. There is a fill plug on the top corner closest to the firewall on the side of your tranny. get yourself a flexible funnel and fill 'er up. you will know when it's full when it starts coming back out the hole or you stick your finger in there and it should be just below the fill plug hole. good luck!
I know you said you "tried driving it", but did you actually drive it, or is it sitting on jackstands?
The speedo is driven directly off the differential, so for the speedo to be going up, the diff is spinning. If the diff is spinning, your wheels will be spinning (assuming you have the axles installed correctly). If your wheels are on the ground and your speedo is moving up, either your axles aren't in right, or the there's something wrong with the speed sensor circuit.
Whenever I do a motor swap, I usually start the car up while it's still up on jackstands (easier to check for leaks etc). On all the Honda's I've swapped (10+), ALL of them the speedo would move when the car was in neutral while up on the stands. The wheels will also spin very slowly, hence the speedo and odometer going slowly.

EXACTLY what I had in mind. Sounds like your axles aren't in all the way.

anyone ever change tranny fluid outside when its 33* and raining? I just did, lol worst day ever... but i filled it back up with about 2 qts (a holes at the honda dealer said it would take 3 qts) put it on jackstands and when slowly let off the clutch in netural it made a weird sound so i pushed it back in opened the door and did it again, 2nd time no noise and no wheel movement checked the speedo and it was right where it was supposed to be, so i put it in first, slowly let out the clutch and the wheels started to move. problem fixed.
so yes the axles were installed correctly, apparently my tranny leaks fluid. New project.
Thanks for the help and suggestions!!!
