Need help with broken ignition column

Default Need help with ignition columN PARTS

Guys my stolen CRX was recovered and now i have to fix the column. The cylinder key housing must be replaced.

I wanted to know if this housing is what makes the steering wheel lock when the key is removed??




I need this parts with brackets and all....where can i get it??

The oval piece that looks like a dead-bolt slide is what
locks the steering...

It extends when the key is removed and meshes
with the adjacent hole in the steering tube.

i looked on majestic and i don't think you can buy just this housing....does anyone know if you can??

You can get that replacement part from a local junk yard out of a CRX/Hatch. You will have to swap around your key locks into the new set though which is kinda PITA.

if you get it from a dealership or parts store you gota buy the whole thing with the lock and key. its expensive though thats why your better going to the junk yard like the other guy said.

Why does majestic honda list the same part with 2 different part numbers for #3 and #4???

What the hell are the difference's??

49701 004 BOLT, BREAK HEAD
20708 004 BOLT, BREAK HEAD

one is probably an updated version of the part/pn...it's common to do...they will send you the correct one either way...
