Default transmission 02 Type S options.

So i took my car to a couple shops in Everett. Possibility of new syncros in my tranny. cost about 2000 ( include parts and labor ). Another option is a brand new tranny. around 3300 with labor and a 3 year full replacement warranty. Again 96,000 miles on the car. Have 110000 mile maintenance coming up. Any suggestions? Or should i leave it and drive it as it is. Right now it is REALLy hard to get out of 2nd gear driving normally. Tranny fluid did not work.

Stay Warm guys

yep sounds about right.. i'd take it to an import shop and get a price quote or a local mechanic with a good rep. For 2k you could buy the DC5-R tranny or another a2 tranny for 1200ish possibly less.

You'd have to look around i've seen TypeR trannies go for 1200-2500 but you'll have to do some searching for the cheaper priced ones.
