GSR transmission durability

Default GSR transmission durability

How much punishment can these transmissions take?How common is it to break internals?Are there upgraded parts available?thanks

They can take a lot, as long as U don't do too many 1 wheel burnouts, and don't grind gears. Of all Honda B series trannies, GSR's seem to hold up the best.

they are very good trannies up to certain point. making the pwer i do they dont last more than 3 passes. the ring gear shatter and explodes.

650hp at the wheels. It only last 3 passes sometimes i cant even get it past the first launch

So what tranny do you use then. Im assuming you just dont keep replacing the GSR every 3 passes.

we replace the trannies every 3 passes or so ... we usually can just replace the ring gear and keep using thegear but eventually the gears also fail. Alot of the racers have this problem not just me... I know for fact taht venom can only get like 3 good passes before they replace there cables. Same with lisa and many other racers. Most have upgraded to the prodrive ring gear which in my opinion is just ***.... its waste of 1200 dollars. It breaks just as often as the factory gear. Kenny tran ran one and only could get one pass out of it. I mean come on for 1200 dollars what gives..

I;m worry about my situation. I can't afford to repace a tranny every 3 passes . Gotta look for a sponsor soon
