I don't have much experience reading plugs so I wanted to post this picture here to see if someone with experience could give me their opinion.

White means on the lean side but at the same time this plug shows a little brown (norm.). If i was to guess this is a normal 15-20k mile plug. If its less mileage then the motor is a little on the lean side (but not that much). Either way time to change.

 

yeah plug might be the wrong temperature but if your running dangerously lean it would be very white this one isn't so bad.
you can get a good measure of how its running by doing a WOT acceleration up to redline then quickly shutting down the motor.

 

Looks like an old plug with some deposits on it from gas additives, but it doesn't seem to be indicating too lean or anything. If that's an iridium or platinum tipped plug, I highly suggest using regular copper next time - unless, of course, you're boosted or something and your tuner suggested those plugs - as they're meant for your application and will give you the best and most reliable performance.

 

were u running 91+ gas because those plugs run high octane gas

 

I was most concerned about the missing porcelain near the center electrode. The plugs are about 5,000 miles old.

I've turned the fuel up a bit and retarded the ignition timing a bit since I pulled these out. I've got new plugs in now that I'll pull out to read in 1,000 miles.

I think they look like the wrong heat range, but it's a stock engine and these are the plugs listed for the B16A.

 

gap looks massive IMO
