Default Catch Can Fab.

I have been trying to come up with a new catch can idea but it seems T1's is the best design out there, and since my battery is already relocated, and the design is so simple I just made a Battery Box Style Can. As with the endtank I made a couple weeks back, it did all the cutting/bending and my friend did teh Weldin'. The bung holes are not in the final place, I might run 3 off the valvecover and 3 off the back of the block, with the return going to a bung welded on the PCV plug and the 3rd bung being a -12 to the center of the front of the valvecover ( ramhorn makes it hard to run dual bungs on the front). I am also considering making a batch of 20 or so of these, complete with bungs welded where customer wants them for a very good price, this can is just for photo purposes, I got a good price on a sheet of mirrored material and the moroso filters, bungs, baffeling inside etc. I know about 5 guys locally that want one so it might be worth it.

I do not have a battery box in my car to finalize the mounting bracket, so I am diligently trying to find one to finish this thing out, this photo just has it sitting in there loosely

That is what I am not sure of actually, I thought it was a little small, there is still hood clearance with the filters, that is why I am trying to find a battery tray now, currently there is not one in the car.

Great idea!

How about make your own design if you want to produce them?

Well Tony, I would hate on B&R LOOONNNGGG before you begin to hate on me. For one I am only going to try to sell these to some local broke people, not even targeting your crowd, so I dont see the problem with it. I understand your feelings, and I can guarantee dozens beyond dozens already have your can not made specifically by you, I am just one of many that has the ***** to post it up on the interweb.

Ok, just for you, instead of making it a box, I will make it a cylinder with removeable lid, so it can double as a jungle juice dispenser in my garage, that way it is not shaped like your origional sqaure box.

gee if everybody felt that way, there would only be one manafacturer of every single product, no Garrett vs. Borg no Nextel vs. Verizon, no Trojan vs. Durex..... give me a break.

BTW this can is in NO way even close to the quality and origionality of the product T1 Race Development makes, if you want bling please please please please buy T1's Can, his site is T1racedevelopment.com and I love what he does for our sport . Being Laid off with bills stacking, negro gotta make money some how, I am not a stud so I cant **** myself out, so this is what I got, I am in no way a pro at this, just trying to get by and make my car a little better doing it..... Thx.

Just some minor baffeling to keep things from sloshing around under acc/decel. The final bung will be much lower to minimize how much oil is retained in the tank, my car pushed a good amount while doing a burnout.

Wow, good to know who I'm not buying products from there Tony. I guess every square/rectangular catch can ever designed is ripping you off. Shape is nothing more than pure aesthetics. It's what's inside that counts, and without buying one of your cans and cutting it apart "Which for the price you charge, would be a complete waste of money", there is no way he can copy your internal design.

Personally I think both of you are douche bags, but I would have to say that the original poster has every right to slap six pieces of aluminum together in such a geometrical fashion as to make the above shape.

Tony, if you want your product to be unique, I suggest creating something creative in a hard to replicate shape.

Not that its even an origional design in the first place. So yours is basically a copy of the Endyn but a different shape with expensive fittings. If he wants to sell them he has every right to.

actually its not a copy, my can is only 2 pieces, all the wings are bent with just a lid welded on, so technically it is different, but w/e... as stated above I guess all custom catch cans have to be round because T1 made one that was square.
