i was thinking about getting an accord, and i was wondering if they pull up vin#'s through a scan tool like most obd2? i know 96-00 civics and integras don't. just wondering if it's the same thing.

Never heard of that happening.

Got the vin on the dash, vin in the engine bay, and vin on some body panels.

I dont think I've ever seen it pulled up on an OBDII scanner.

every new acura and honda does it. i have an ek that won't pass cause its obd1. i was looking for a car for a dd that i can uh.. plug in.

Yeah wasn't saying the new one's couldn't.

I haven't seen a 96/97 that has.

I've got a 96 that didn't do it, and a 97 that didn't do it.

Maybe I was using a cheap scanner?

good to know, hehe. as long as the emissions tester doesn't pull the vin i should be alright.
