Default stretched tires on work equip 03 15x8 what tire size u suggest???

im going to be purchasing a set of gold work equip 03 wheels, i seen a white rhd ek hatch in november issue of modifier mag and it had a set of work equip 03 wheels in 15x8. i hear the tire on them is a smaller width then what you would normally put, does anyone know what tire size to get to have that stretched look? i hear 195-50-15's on them will make it like that. any help??? thanks

you do realize what the intial reasoning was behind stretching tires right? It wasn't started because someone thought it was cool, they did it to that their low offset wheels would fit without rubbing. So my question to you is, what offset are you going to be purchasing cuz if you aren't getting it in a low offset there is no need to stretch your tires.

yeah i know the reason behind it i seen a ek hatch in modified car magazine its a white one that is rhd and with a turbo k20 the guy told me the off set was +13 if im correct. that is the reason im wanting to know because i know a wheel of that width will rub at least in the rear, thats why i was wanting to find out because im getting ready to order a set of the wheels, thanks for the info

ok cool just making sure you knew. didn't want you to buy a set of those wheels in a regular offset and then buy tires to stretch them just cuz you wanted the stretched look.

There is a reason why manufacturers have a 'approved rim widths' spec with every tire they make. no 195/55-15 or 205/50-15 tire that I know is approved for an 8" rim.

You can get some serious problems with running the improper sized tire. Yes, I know what you are going to tell me ' but I have a friend who does it' Whatever. It's still not a good idea.

If I were you I would choose a different sized rim. Come over the wheel and tire forum if you need help. This has been covered numerous times.
