Default EASY way to remove adhesive after de-badge

ok so I saw a thread a week or so ago debating the best way to do this, but can't seem to find the thread now , I just bought a 2000 EX, I took the civic and the EX off the back and tried everything and COLD NOT get that stuff off. then a buddy of mine that I work with made a suggestion.......WD40 , I looked at him like he was crazy, he said try it, you'll see, so I did and sure enough , sprayed some on it, wiped it wirth a rag and the adhesive slid right off, no damage , no scratches in the paint, no dulling of paint, sprayed it off with some water and wiped it again and all is well, anyways just thought I would throw this out there. take it or leave it .

If I really can't get it off, I'll use brake CLEANER (not fluid).

I've had it hurt any sort of clearcoat paint.

3M actually makes an adhesive remover for automobiles. You should be able to find it any your local automotive store.

I'm in germany, not exactly an auto-zone on every corner, so I have to improvise sometimes, either way I tried goo-gone and didn't work, tried this, and it came off with one swipe of a rag , (shrugs)
