h22 cam install question..help please

Default h22 cam install question..help please

i'm installing stock h22 cams back in to the 97' prelude sh...as i'm pitting the arrows on the cam sprockets or w/e there called w/ it arrow "UP" the cams lobes start riding on the rockers..and if i let them just sit on there the arrows are pushed inward..do i have someone hold the cams while i tighten the bold or what? thanx

just keep them as close as you can, they'll be fine.

The only reason they do that is so you can get a good, even torque on the rocker plates without having to fight valvesprings.

you should have someone helping you, have someone line up the gears as you put the timing belt back on

i used cable ties on the gears to keep them straight, then cut them off once the belt was on.
