So I got a nice little dent in my '06 LX coupe the other day, I was getting out of a parallel parking spot and cut it too close on the way out, so I hit the left side of the rear bumper of the car parked ahead of me. Not even a scratch on that car, only a fatass dent in mine. The dent is located on the quarter panel, in between the rear wheel and passenger side door, and it is smack dab on the body crease that goes through the side of the coupes. It's about the size of a basketball, although it even close to as deep as one. I'll have pics up soon.

Anyways, my question is, do you guys recommend paintless dent repair for something like this. Is it even possible to get paintless dent repair done on that spot because I know most cars have double layers of sheet metal around that area? If it's not possible, does any know of other inexpensive dent repair in the Seattle, WA area?

Double layers of sheet metal??? I dont think so, if the crease is not to bad/deep they can usually do it paintless... If there is any bubbling of the paint, forget it, it's goen and needs to be taken to a body shop

 

Nope, no paint bubbling, almost no paint damage at all. Anybody else have any info?

 

I know the dry ice method is pretty cheap, can also take it to like an autozone store and see if they can help you suck the dent out. I think they'll do it for free using their tool.

 

has anyone used the "ding king" before? does it work?

 

ive had my si sedan for a whole year, and it seems to be a door ding magnet. Its black too so it annoys the **** out of me. Anyhow, ive had some wicked dings and paintless dent removal works wonders. here in Socal its about 125.00 per dent. Its worth it man

 

My brother is learning to do PDR. its hard and takes skill. But its worth the money if you have some door dings. It just depends on how bad they are and if they are creased.

 

I just had pdr done to mine....Worked well...However because my ding was so sharp the paint separated from the metal in a tiny spot. It's all good though...Looks tons better than before
