Weird shaking at 60mph
I have a 91 DA and when I'm at 60mph then gas it a little, I feel this slight shaking and a sound like "thuka thuka thuka" (kinda like a flat tire sound) all the way up to 80mph then it goes away.
The shaking could sometimes be felt through the gas pedal. I've checked to see if there's any play on the wheels for tie rod and bearing wear but no play at all.. also, did a tire balance when I got new rims...
What else could the problem be? This is annoying as hell..

Can someone give me input on this cuz it's driving me crazy! Someone told me it could be somehow related to the clutch bearing or something? Is this right?
check your tire wear, it could be because of tires that are worn to their limit, or worn irregularly
when my tires would start to go bald or show cord, they would shake really bad

Nah I just put on new rims and tires plus balance so count that out...
Sucks cuz I can't duplicate that same sound/shaking when I take it to my mechanic so he has no idea either..

Just because you have new rims and tires, does not mean they are not worn or not round.
You can balance a square tire or a fred flintsone- type wheel....
is you car lowered, and when was the last time you got an alignment.
Have you tried moving your rear tires to the front?
Try that and see if you get the same results.. This will help eliminate tires and rims as a culprit

Bingo. Try to pinpoint where the vibration is coming from (i.e. front, rear, left, right), then rotate tires front to rear and see if the vibration follows.
Was this happening before you installed the new wheels and tires?
It sounds to me like you have either bad tires, improperly balanced or bent wheels, or a possible bad inner CV joint.
