Pretty sure I'm going to sell my EP3
I'm sure there is a rule about posting this but there are countless sales posts made in all the technical forums from noobs to long time members. Most of us already have an EP/RSX but if you know anyone looking, the link is in my sig. Thanks

Reasons why are all in his sig.
To the OP, what car is going to replace the EP3?

I'm looking to get a nice WRX. You may think that is more expensive than my EP and contradicts the reason for selling my EP. But I own 3 Hondas. My EP, an eg, and a CRX. Two cars are currently insured, the other is in my girlfriends garage waiting for major body work and an engine. So now my Hondas are literally taking all my time, money and worst, thought. I've taken in way more than I can chew and I just want 1 nice car. The WRX could and would be driven in the winter.
Nothing wrong with the EP. I love every minute driving it and it hits 0.96g+
I haven't drove it for months now and I think once I do again I'll "fall back in love" with it. Hopefully I can sell before then and make the best choice.

School > Cars I'm in the same boat. I own 3 Honda's and an S10. 2 of which I have loans on. It just gets tiring. Good luck on the sale.
Wow, 4 vehicles. I don't know how you can do that. I really only have 2 I'm putting money into. I'll have to buy some materials and paint for the EG but soon after, I'll sell it.

and the biggest reason i haven't bought one yet... the tranny ares like glass!
but it's been a while since i researched it,
so i don't know if they have a fix for that yet, or if it was just for certain years
Bump for Good Luck

The Accord and the Type-S. I own the s10 and the EK outright. It still sucks though. Gf helps me out alot...

A friend is pretty serious and I got a couple offers that are decent but it's so early in the sale so I haven't agreed.

Yeah, I KNOW it's going to happen. Thinking about the parts I have (installed or not), I get excited about spring (hence my spring cleaning post). I love the way the car handles; how you can feel every bump and have to avoid potholes if you don't want a headache... I need to stop.

aww, too bad your selling it, i've always liked your car
. Well if i were you
i would go with like a 04 sti, you can find those pretty cheep. you would like the speed
of the sti more anyways, my dc5 is faster than the wrx but the sti is fast.

not white but it works.

My friend has an 07 WRX and he said they still have the tranny problems... I hate it. All I have is lowering springs and decent tires and I hang with him in corners... The interior is cheesy and cheap, the motors although bad *** just seem like a huge pain in the *** to work on...
Poor MPGs, and just not up to par with honda quality in terms of a lot of the minor things.
My stock civic stereo blows his BRAND NEW wrx stereo out of the water. To me it is teh little things that matter.
And based on skid pad ratings and EP3 pulls more g's stock with crappy michelin tires than a wrx with AWD does... Don't sell it dude.

exactly Whitey!
...don't tell me your still thinking about sell a reliable $12K car...
to get a $20K+ unreliable car ...that you'll have to pour money into????
Good luck!

Subaru's aren't unreliable. It's stupid people trying to launch that mess the trannies up. The 05+ trannies are a lot stronger than the older models. I agree the interior looks bad (04 and older). 05 looks as good as my EP.

2005:

EP:

Wyld, the WRX is not 20k.
You could get an STi for that. I'm looking for a low mile (20k) 05 for $16k. Plus AWD in winter = breeze.

your going to get a WRX, but not go for the STi?
That's like getting a 99 Civic Hatch DX, instead of an EP3!
if i want a good cheap winter car, i'd get a Suzuki Samurai/Sidekick. for snow, it rocks!
you could get one cheap now, and save the ep3 for REAL driving!

im in your same boat i have a 04 dc5 and i wanna give it up for a 05 wrx so i feel your pain and if i can find a good deal imma trade in my dc5 asap cuz i want something where all my boys can come in and still have a lil fun at the track so im with you on that trade but i do have to say that my dc5 is way sexier then the wrx

This analogy is horrible. Insurance rates on those Civics are nearly the same. Insurance rate for a 20 yr old college student on an STi...
F the WRX; I'll just buy a Ferrari!!!!1
It's called a want vs what I can afford.

I think I change my mind everyday between keeping my EP/EG or getting the WRX. Everytime I get an offer I think, "I'M GETTING THE WRX FOR SURE!" Then it's slow again and I get excited about the spring with my EP.
I think I'll be happy either way.

Do your thing man, I was thinking about selling mine for something more family friendly. I was thinking about getting a 4door Si or something like that. We'll see but man I feel you, I really do.

This kind of reminded me of the other thread about DSMs supposely being unreliable.

Hell then, i want an '08 STi... anyone have $35,000 they need to give away?
(i'll pay the insurance!)
hell, it looks like our cars... Subaru did away with the sedan body for the STi.
That means no more tall rear wing sticking up from the trunk lid.
The new STi's high-tech suspension provides a smooth ride... BUT,
you can also control how the car's all-wheel-drive system functions...
dialing up more power to the back wheels to enable sliding the rear around in turns!
Can anyone say "REAL DRIFTING an EP3... i mean STi!"
to me they look like mini-vans...
BWAAAhahaha!
