Why are you so sad? You should take this time to re-evaluate what you're doing. Don't drive without insurance, and don't put stupid Supra tail lights on anything but a Supra.

I concur. Those tail lights look hideous on that car. If you really want a Supra, go buy the real thing.
Look at your options :
30 days X impound fees of approx $90/day
+Tickets and other fees $1000
_________
$3700++
How much is your car worth again?
Let it be and find something else to drive after you have saved up for insurance.
FYI...Idiots like you are the reason I have to spend the extra money for uninsured motorists coverage.

First off you had no insurance so yeah... done. Same thing happen to me last month but I had insurance. Cop cited me for driving in darkness with no lights (VCode: 24250). It was BS but yeah it was either impound the car or $122 + $20 security fee... sucks and the cops had the nerve to say "it is what it is" to me.. mother *bleep*
Damn you guys are going hard on this dude, despite how "smart" it was to drive w/ out insurance, he did just loose his car in learning the lesson. I've had plenty of "smart" friends learn the same lesson the same way. Just weigh your options and if it's worth paying to get the car out, do so, otherwise get something else and this time either save up the insurance money first, or simply leave it parked until you can bring it out.

my point exactly...non op/no insurance on a busy street. Sorry, I dont share your sympathy on this behavior. It all comes down to luck...that you don't hit anyone and that people like me pay extra to get insurance coverage from people like you.
If you dont have insurance, dont drive the damn thing....they should've thrown you in jail for being ignorant.

yah and even tho u just fixed a leak, you can still let it sit and see if it leaks....you didnt HAVE TO drive it but whatever ill pay my higher insurance just incase someone without insurance hits me
save your money and get it out of the impound, and go get some cheap *** non-ownership insurance or go ahead and get full coverage. alot of times, the judge will throw the ticket out if you have insurance after the fact, but before the court date, at least what i've seen in my days sitting in a court room.....
What if he would of hit your car? I can't speak for others, but I am sure calling the cops so they can take his car and the person "down-town".
You took the risk of driving without insurance. I am not sure why you would leave any car uninsured considering it still can be stolen.

Hope you're not saying that just because he said it looked stupid in a DA.
