Recently had a new catalytic converter and sensors put on the car. When I get out of the car now, I smell something like a hot metal smell. I am thinking that maybe it's because of the new metal from the cat??? I hope...

For those that have had a catalytic converter replaced, did you have a hot metal smell coming from the car? How long did it last? Did it go away?

Should I be concerned and take it back? Thanks.

yea itll smell for a few days....same thing happens with a new exhaust

 

give it a week and you'll be good.
