ok well i just got my race header on like 2 days ago now i have to take it back off cause my car has to go back to the dealship to get fixed cause i have no 2nd gear Acura should stop BSin around and finally make this a recall!!!!

Help Out and Sign the petiotion if u feel acura should make this a recall and finally fix our trannys!!!!!

Number 2414! Same thing in my EP3. I can't get anything done about it til it break though. Freaking BS.

 

What are you guys doing to the tranny to grind gears? I am reasonably hard on mine and it has only grinded due to my error, not on it's own. I have a hard time getting it in to go into 1st unless I am moving less than 5mph, but no grinds. BTW, I change tranny fluid every 5K or so.

 

I just had my whole 2nd gear replaced and main shaft and clutch master cylinder and clutch

-- shifts like a dream now...

That's a complete waste... Tranny fluid can go 50k+ before 'needing' to be changed....

It really can go the life of the car in most cases...

yah i was thinking the same thing usually tranny oil can last some time !

I have heard that. However, I am more of a "safer than sorry" person and I'll tell you that I have not had the tranny issues that I have heard others talk about and I know of another Honda-Tech-er that changes his tranny fluid often and he notices no grinds. Might be something to it.

2x...switching tranny fluid is dangerous anywaii =/...
