Default lowered my car

i lowered my car yesterday and i was wondering do i need aftermarket springs? i have a 2 finger gap between my tire and my fender. and i have some brand of springs that are sort of stiff but not alot. i was wondering do i need stiffer springs so my wheel wont hit my fender? or it doesent matter.

If you don't have aftermarket springs, then how did you lower your car?

Are you bottoming out? Are your tires hitting the fenders?

What car? Tire size? Wheel size and offset?

If you want to eliminate the fender gap, then you need to lower the sleeve more. It's not even half way down lol. Try that, test the results, and if your hitting and scraping, raise it until you like it.

LMAO! Anyways back to the OP, stiffer spring would always help against bottoming out or rubbing, you might wanna start thinking about upgrading your shocks/dampers.

ok my question is, i wanna lower the car similar to what EK9 did but i know what im doin lol........now if i throw a coilover kit on from like skunk2 and lower the ride height to take out the fender gap just enough, do i need a camber kit or will it not lower it enough to really affect camber? i see alot of nice pics of cars and im wonderin if all of em have camber kits installed or r just lowered...... i can get the skunk2 kit for like 242......

You won't need a camber kit, just get an alignment.

i had a set of those on a CB7 and the fuggin strut just snapped like a god damn potato chip. tore that sucker all to hell and went into a gaurd rail. last set of cheap anything i ever bought.

Yep. Bouncing around like a fool and smacking your head off the roof makes you look cool. The poor handling is a big plus!

All the ladies will be talking about what an idi . . . err, how cool you look!

If your trying to pick up chicks in a civic, you have bigger problems than a low ride height...

Pfft. Real men can pick up chicks in an 88 Civic sedan with body panels in 3 different colors, or even an 83 Cavalier (been there, done that, in both). Posers, need nice rides to get some.
