I currently have a gsr motor in my integra and it just hit 230 K. I am about to pick up a TYpe R short block. It only includes the block and head. Im sure my alternator, p/s, a/c, tranny, distributor, will fit. However, i know i cant use my intake manifold from the gsr on the type r. My question is if i buy a type r intake manifold or a skunk 2 manifold that fits a type r......what about my gsr throttle body, fuel rail, injectors,etc? Can i reuse these accessories with a type r intake manifold? Also aside from my question which deals with my stock parts....any recommended setups are welcomed such as skunk 2 intake manifold with a skunk2 trottle body or Aem fuel rail with better injectors..etc. Help me please.

 

The rotor on your GSR throttle body will be at the wrong angle for the ITR or Skunk 2 intake manifold. You can stick with the GSR throttle cable and cable mount.

The fuel rail and injectors are compatible. You do not need upgraded injectors and fuel rails unless you plan to modify the engine well beyond "stock".

 

Thank you sir, so now im down to choosing a decent throttle body. I was looking at the skunk 2 throttle body. I guess it would be nice to have a skunk 2 intake manifold and throttle body combination. Any throttle body recommendations? Thanks again.
