Default Need Your Help on getting some new headers with my setup :)

whuttup guys. i have been looking into getting some new headers and wanted your help to see what would be best for my setup i have now
b16 head,ek9 cams, type r outer valve springs, portflow inners,skunk2 pro series cam gears, pro series IM, aem cold air intake, edelbrock tb, supertech flat high compression valves, jdm dc 4-1 headers, hks hi flow muffler, 2.25 inch piping, magnaflor high flow cat.
the block is stock right now but in the future i will go 1.8.
my headers are pretty beat up at the moment and i wanna swap them out for something new and see what is out there that will perform better.
also, should i stick with a 2.25 inch piping or go 2.5" ???
thanks guys!

What is ur money looking like for the new headers??????
And i would just get the JDM ITR header with the the 1.6 and get the adapter for the 2 1/2 in to go with ur 2.25 piping.... dont see u spending alot of money yet if u know u are going to a 1.8...

For the power increase, a toda header is worth every penny on a B16. They are pretty expensive at 900 bones, but for the little 1595 they make more power that just about any other header. Plus its designed for the short deck height of the b16 so you'll have better ground clearance.

money is not an issue. i am open to anything. i just wanna switch out my JDM DC header cuz its pretty banged up.
hey b-vtec, are you saying the JDM ITR header performs better than the JDM DC? i thought it was the other way around?
4GE4YA, i was looking into getting a toda header but was also looking at a spoon, rage, or smsp header. do you think the toda outperforms these?
i know i have the b16 right now but it will be swapped out for a b18 block in a couple months so i really wanna get a header for the new setup b/c i am not staying b16

I personally called smsp and spoke to them about my build I was looking at getting one of their b16 tri y's for my ef. He told me for the money I was spending to buy a toda header. It has been proven many time that the toda header does very well on a all motor b16 applicaiton. This is how I look at it Toda, Smsp, Rage, Spoon, DC in that order.

Toda header and 2.5" exhaust. It will not disappoint-even on a 1.8.

thanks guys. i really was looking into a toda header and thought maybe the spoon or smsp would be better off...
any idea where the peak power is on a toda header? is it more low to mid or mid to high?

I would say 3200-8600 rpm. From all the dyno's I've seen here with the toda header it seems like for some reason the header likes a lower vtec engagment. Just buy it already you will not be disapointed.

when i got it tuned, my vtec was adjusted to engage at 5100-5200 due to the car being a daily driver.
i just dont wanna lose any power on the top end but at the same time want power at the low to mid cuz i know 4-1 dont give power til high end.

If your JDM DC 4in1 header is beat up due to ground clearance issue, going to big tri y header will end up to be the same like your DC header(I got one too)... I would consider 4-2-1 header, Toda will be my first choice if i can save up enough for it.

I have no idea as far as fitment issues with a/c. I have never owned a Honda with a/c. Maybe someone else will chime in about it. You could always do some research and see if the other tri y headers clear everything. They pretty much be that same on the primaries.
