The GB3 bolts from B pillar to B pillar for an Integra. GB 4F does the same for a Civic.
Cost was 99 bucks. Wait was a little under a month, as bar still needed to be fabricated. (in house manufacturing) If you're interested, I'll sell you mine for 75.00 shipped. I never used a harness, it just sat there.
PM me if interested.

I made my own: go to http://www.google.com and type in Video Camera mount for Civic.
I tried doing the cross bar instead of just one bar off the headrests and it was a pain to adjust the seats. Did the one bar this weekend and the camera was steady with the use of a luggage strap holding the headrest tight against the seat. Then used two velcro straps to hold the camera to the headrest. Then put remote microphone to the engine bay.

i tried looking on google, but came up with a bunch of non-sense, thanks anyway though. do you have a specific link? and, do you have any pictures? TIA
Funny this comes up from the honda-perf link. I just started this yesterday. It looks like it's going to work, but after messing up drilling the 1st two pieces... (step 2) it didn't want to go straight down the center. After about 1/4 of the way, the bits kept going into one or the other box. (I only have hand tools and not a drill press so there's no way to keep it straight up and down and the aluminum steady).
Other than that issue, everything looks good. I have yet to buy a 3rd piece of aluminum ($6.50 at Home Depot) and give it another shot... need to find someones drill press.

you can do it. I did it last year, without a drill press. It ain't pretty, but it works. It'd be easier if you had a dremel-like rotary tool. I bought one shortly after going through the hassle of making that camera mount...

I have a dremel, but it's a B&D battery... not worth crap. I'll have to buy a plug-in one.
That's what I initially tried to use to cut the two slots for the headrest... but got nowhere fast.

if you were to draw the circle on top and bottom of the bar assembly, then dissassemble the thing and connect the two half circles that are now on the top and bottom of each half, you could use a cutting wheel to make a nice cut, and then a grinding drum to clean out the circles... Hindsight...
on me.

When you're drilling the headrest-post holes, use a small bit first. The smaller bit will want to wander less as you go between the two pieces of metal. Then, use the full-size bit. It'll follow the path made by the smaller bit and not wander to one side or the other.

Actually I just drilled through one bar and it works fine
Although I'm going to redo it. Also I didn't use the camera mount thing and just purchased a bolt at Home depot and some washers. - Yeah I'm a cheapo.

you know whats real sad about all of this?? I HAVE NO FRIGGIN HEAD RESTS!!! some girl ricer took them off before it got stolen!!!
1. i know it was a ricer because the person took the head rests off.
2. i know it was a ricer because the person painted the ambers red in the back, and sanded an
symbol so when i brake it lights up.
3. i know it was a girl because i found a kero keropi sticker on the tail lights.
so... i can't do the head rest thing. unless i find someone selling JUST the headrests. which is highly unlikely...

tried the junkyard. they have this monopoly over imports here in san diego. there is a corner where all the yards have either honda acura, or toyota lexus mazda and such. and they WON'T let you go in the yard, you have to ask them if they have it, and they'll charge you friggin dealer prices!!!!!!!!! 150 bucks for a tan leather headrest??? WTF??? and the dealerships beat around the bush about having to buy the whole damn thing. i don't have 300 to spend just for stupid seats... thanks anyway.
CRXs (at least Sis) don't have adjustable headrests either...neither do Corbeau Forzas! (I had one of each seat in my CRX so I could never make this camera mount)
so... i finally bought some headrests [ about two weeks ago ] and i installed the camera mount http://hybrid2.honda-perf.org/contri...ountintro.html it was pretty hard to drill in between the two peices of box aluminum so i improvised. and it doesn't look too pretty, but it gets the job done. i painted it black, and the total cost was...
44 big ones. the camera mount being the most expensive item [ 32.27 ] so i'll post some pictures up soon... and videos!

I know Austin built this very same one. It was a bit shakey, but it worked.
Couldn't you just build it across and connect both head rests? I know you'd have to line up both seats. Wouldn't that make a much stabler platform?

I did that but what a PAIN IN THE **** to get things in and out of the car, and to get the seats lined up is a pain too. I just cut my bar in half and did the half mount and used a luggage strap to hold the bar firm against the seat and a bungee cord around the bar to the floor to keep the bar steady too. I'll take pictures when I get home.

Well, I ended up building it last night. I bought 2 of the bars at 36" each. Drilled the 1.4" start holes, then the 1/2" holes for the headrest poles. only ended up using two 1/4" x 2 1/2" bolts to keep the bars together.
used some clamps to keep the bars together while drilling.
Because I went a bit screwy on lining up the head rest poles, I couldn't drill the 1/4" for the camera mount until after I made sure it would line up. Tested the mount with a video camera.....works great!!
if you want pics, let me know.
