honda accord f18b engine mount
hello all , my first post :D
first of all i really dont know where this thread should be posted.... sorry if i have posted it in the wrong place. Now the problem
Yesterday my car stated which me alot of engine noise. from the outside everything looks normal but from the inside (inside the car) , where is just alot of vibration. also when i shift it from N to D , the engine give a hugh jerk and then i can hear a noise as if something was loose.
Today took it to a mechanic , he said tht the back foundation ( the mount with rubber in it) is broken and i need to replace it. he is asking for $60 for a used one.
Cant i repair it on my own? or cant i repair the mount? because buying a used one would be silly simply because its already been "used" and worn out. he also said tht i need to eventually replace all my mounts since they all have been wacked

Motor mounts.
Yeah most likely the jerking is due to that - the rear one is a pain to get to, so unless you want to try to get to it yourself I'd just have the mechanic do it, however the front , the front-left (driver's) and the tranny mounts are all easily reachable and do-able in your driveway.
I'd say just have him do it (for the rear one)
What year is your accord?
F18B doesn't sound right at all - should be more like a F22 or F23, etc.
