Got a quick question.
LS Connection rods bolts are 8mm, and the GSR/ITR are 9mm. If i use ARP Connecting Rods, what do you think the MAX SAFE rev threshold the 8mm have? I plan on getting a b series block sleeved, but idk yet if i want LS or GSR because of the rod bolt size. I want to rev to 9k under a boosted build, with LS.V set up. Just wanted to know what the answer is to the new threshold.

I rev my build to 9000 rpm several times a day, ls crank and rods w/ 8mm arp rod bolts in a gsr block, with gsr head. Just hit the 5k mile mark a few days ago, so far so good.

i know only 1 mm, but idk how much of a difference in strength its gonna make. I don't want my motor getting revved to the moon and end up having something break.
you'll be fine with the 8mm if you don't feel like forking out the cash for new rods.
so long as you buy the ARP bolts and torque them down to spec you'll be good to go.

--- Ya, i am going to build the bottom end once i get this turbo set up together. I actually didn't think this though. WHEN i buy new rods, they are most likely going to be 9mm anyways.
