fuel pump not priming
ok here is the story. a couple days ago my clutch pedal broke one me. so this morning my buddy brought one over to me and i installed it and my heater as well. so i took out the dashboard to make things a bit easier on me. i went to put everything back together and and noticed that the new pedal assembly didnt have a clutch switch, so i figured not prob ill just jump it. put the new heater in and new pedal assembly in. now i put the dash back in and was just about finished, went to start the car and it did for a few seconds then died. i turned the key to the on position and i dont hear the fuel pump prime. so i switched main relays and still nothing. ive given up for the day as there is no more sunlight and will give it another go in the morning. any suggestions as to what may have happened? thanks guys
if it started and died and its not your relay. it could be a few things. did you connect all the grounds/ have you gone over all grounds period.? checked your fuses?. same thing happened to my car and I just fixed it today. it was my ignition lock. try starting your car and right before you let go of the key keep it in between the 2nd postion and start. that way your getting power but your starter isnt running. if it keeps running its either your igniton switch or your ignition lock
