angle guage for collector cutting
I'm just wondering what you guys use to measure how much to rotate the pipe when you're cutting it for a collector. I was thinking about using something like this..
circumference = pie x diameter
1.5" sch 10 is 1.900" outside diameter
(1.9 x 3.14)/4 = 1.4915"
1. make a mark on a piece of paper, set a dial caliper to 1.4915" and make another mark on the paper.
2. wrap the paper around the pipe and transfer the marks to the pipe near the edge.
3. line the mark up with a point on the saw and then turn the pipe and line up the second mark.
this is what i ended up with using this method:
