12 second car doesn't really give us too much info to work with.

on slicks? on street tires? at what elevation? I am just wasting my breath?

buy a 150 shot of comedy-air for the D series you currently have. run 12s, come back and post time slip.

i would just suggest you search the endless threads on here and learn the in and outs of an all oem rebuild, such as cylinder honing and whatnot. that way you know what to tell the machine shop when you drop off the block. and for the assembly, just search and read. i think the best rods and pistons for you would be the rods you already have, and a set of .25 oversized p30 pistons from honda. thatll run you about 150 bucks for pistons, rings and wristpins.

You should have saved your money and ran STOCK parts and you still wouldn't have any problems...

the stock rods and pr3 or w/e oem pistons you throw in should be reliable.

^^agreed. take the motor out, buy new pr3 or p30 pistons with rings, new bearings, get all of your machine work done (balancing, honing, boring, etc.), buy new valve stems and seals, buy a set of good aftermarket springs and retainers, a good set of cams with cam gears, a decent intake manifold and a decent header. tune it. enjoy it.

nothing is more simple except buying a 12 pack, drinking it, and then thinking more about what you are going to do with your motor, and then buying more beer, drinking all of that, and then posting something like this on honda-tech. that seems pretty easy.

do your research and dont rely on everyone else to tell you what to do.
