bout to start a custom interior.....need some help on how to approach.
Ok before anyone tries to flame me and call me ricey and all that bs. I am going with CTR door panels, CTR arm rest, CTR carpet, and other JDM pieces inside. BUT i dont want the black panels to clash with the dark gray i know to some it looks ok and others hate it but i want to turn my interior pieces to black that will not be replaced. does anyone have the best way to do this? cause i dont want it to look like crap a year from now. thanks
I looked into this for a while and they will always need to be redone if your car sees sunlight. The best product to use to dye it is SEM interior dye.
even for the hard plastic? it wont see much sunlight considering i have extremely dark tinted windows. but what should i use for the plastic is my main concern right now. i have way to many projects going on at once LOL. thanks
I used an aerosol dye and it worked ok but from what I have been told the aerosol sem dye works great.Get a few cans of the sem and a few cans of the adhesion promoter and you should be good to go.

The guy from that thread's interior came out great and he used a 3M scuff pad...definitely still had texture to it.

Try the SEM products. They work wonders. I bought mine at http://www.eastwoodco.com
Good luck.
Good luck.
i dont know if i should scuff them but i know definately not to clean them with dish soap and water. i would use a de greaser and cleaner just like i do on body work. cause that dish soap leaves way to much of a residue behind.
