Default 92 Si Starting Problem

My car is having trouble starting, sometimes it would start up and run for a couple of seconds and dies and won't start again. It seems to do this during cold weather and a few times during the summer. Could it be a fuel filter? Do I need to change it? I bought the car when it was about 120,000 miles but now it has 129k, I don't know if the previous owner ever changed the fuel filter for the car or not. The car also has an anti-theft system where you have to turn the key to II (when all system lights up) following a gaming sound after that then the system allows you to turn it all the way, could it be a malfunction in the system thats not letting it start? Please Help! I appreciate it.

How does it run in the warm weather? and does it have trouble turning over? your oil might be too think depending on what outside temp you're at....

oil has nothing to do with the car dieing, it will run with thick or thin oil the car does not sgut off cause of low or high oil pressure check ur fuel pressure when it doesnt start, the main relay will cause this in preludes alot.
