Default dx caliper removal

how do i take the caliper off there the one 12mm bolt then i can pivot it up to change the pads. do i just slide the whole thing out? usually theres 2 12mm bolts and the caliper will come off but on this car theres only 1.

thats correct, then the bracket is held on by two 17MM bolts. remove that and there you go

make sure that you only do one side at a time
just in case

besides that, it was super easy to change the pads on my dx

Remove the bottom caliper bolt. Loosen the top bolt alittle and the whole caliper will swing up and out of the way(i use a piece of mechanic wire and hook it to the spring to keep it out of the way)Now you can remove the pads and install new. Force the caliper piston flush with the caliper frame using a large c-clamp. Remember to remove brake reservior cap to not let air in when pushing the piston in. Now the new pads will slide over the rotor. oh yeah now is a good time to bleed the system.
