Ive searched non stop all day. and I cant find out how to put the new one in!. taking it out was fairly simple but the install of the new one isnt going well. how do you put in the new lock cylinder.

did you take off the break away bolts? if you did then to put it back on was easy I always use the same bolts you use to bolt down the front seats

 

should be a screw or torx screw on the side of the lock. you also have to take the metal collar off the top of the lock, which guards the keyway. and should be some kind of pin you push in. it's been a while

 

I have to take off the metal cover piece?

 

yes, just work it back and forth.
also the key of that lock has to be in the cylinder to extract it out. and one clikc over.
